Synopsis In a remote Armenian village, all men emigrated abroad for work. Here lives Miriam, with her daughter and with the other women that work in the fields. On her birthday, her husband announces the postponement of his return home and Miriam’s hopes of finally having her family reunited are shattered.
Director’s bio-filmography Ophelia Harutyunyan (1989) is an Armenian filmmaker based in NYC. She directed and produced with Alex Gibney and Suzanne Hillinger the documentary Totally Under Control. She produced Crazy, Not Insane, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and Red Apples, which premiered at TIFF. She is a Berlinale Talents alumna and her films have been screened at festivals like Sundance, SXSW, IDFA, AFI, Clermont Ferrand and others.
