Rue Garibaldi

Synopsis Ines and Rafik are twenty years old and have been working for ten years now. They have recently moved to Rue Garibaldi, a Parisian neighbourhood, they have Tunisian origins but grew up in Sicily: their existence is a precarious movement of interruptions, changes, and humiliations. In the house, one is a mirror to the other one; here, time is suspended, and the city gets further away.

Director’s bio-filmography After graduating at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Federico Francioni (1988) authored with Yan Cheng Tomba del Tuffatore, The First Shot and Octavia. During the experience of Ateliers Varan and of the residence “Frontières 2018” in Paris, he created Rue Garibaldi, best Italian documentary film at the 39th Torino Film Festival.
