In October 2018 a strong gust of wind swept over and cut down in just a few hours more than two million cubic meters of trees in Trentino Alto Adige, equal to 10,000 football pitches. A forest ranger, a Cimbrian woodsman, and an entomologist will accompany us into the long and complex work of reclaiming the woods, showing the most insidious aspects, problems and concerns that arise from a climate emergency that seems to loom like an invisible threat.
Andrea Canova, film-maker and documentary film-maker from Vicenza, born in 1979, lived 12 years in Naples, where he created short documentary films about urban areas and by leading film-making workshops in the schools of the city suburbs.
He is one of the 24 directors (alongside Paolo Sorrentino and Pietro Marcello) of the documentary film Napoli 24 (2010), produced by Indigo Film and Rai Cinema.
