Bosnia, today. During a lazy summer afternoon, eight-year-old Maja visits her grandparents in the countryside, she plays with her young aunt Ljilja, whom the kid takes as a model. Ljilja is a rebellious artist, who doesn’t want to accept the suffocating lack of prospects in her country. Maja will become aware of a secret about her aunt.
Director’s bio-filmography
Aleksandra Odić was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and immigrated to Germany as a child in 1992 amid the Bosnian War. Since 2010 she has studied directing at dffb (Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin). In 2012 she obtained a fellowship at Akademie der Künste Berlin, in the Department Film and Media Art. Since 2014 she’s been a member of the Sarajevo Talent Campus at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
